Apply to These High-Dollar Scholarships

Students in the 11th and 12th grades are busy–difficult coursework, overbearing homework loads, SAT and ACT prep–not to mention the college search process and the college scholarship search process. When it comes to scholarships, most students are so busy that they only apply to the “easiest” scholarships–ones that require, for example, a brief essay, résumé, or letter of recommendation.

But what about the scholarships that require a high amount of effort for an even bigger payoff?

Rather than being more difficult to win, these high-dollar, high-effort scholarships actually have the fewest amount of applicants. No one, it seems, is willing to put in the work.

And, many teens and students feel like they don’t have TIME to apply.

In this article, I’ll offer some examples of high-dollar scholarships, then encourage you to find–and apply to–the scholarships that are right for you! Let’s take a look.

Be sure to enroll in the Winning College Scholarships course for ALL our scholarship expertise in one place for you to use!

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program - Receive up to $100,000 for four years.

The Buick Achievers award is a huge award that could make the cost of college next to nothing for students with demonstrated academic achievement and financial need. Participation and leadership in community and school activities are also taken into account, as are work experience and interest in pursuing a career in automotive or related industries. STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and math) students should apply. Special consideration is given to first-generation college attendees, females, minorities, military veterans, and dependents of military personnel. You do not have to fall into these categories, however, to apply. Check it out!
