SAT TUTORS IN AUSTIN, TX

From the desk of Christian Heath, Owner and Lead Instructor:

My name is Christian, and it seems like SAT prep has always been involved in my life story.

In 7th grade, I took a practice test without any preparation or advance notice, scored in the top 1% nationally, and was recognized by Duke University for my high score.

In 11th grade, I took an excellent SAT prep course which cost almost twice as much - even back then - as what I charge today to pass that knowledge along.

Over the next year, I took the SAT exam twelve times, including a bunch of full-length practice exams.

It paid off. My final score as a senior put me in the top .1% of national test-takers.

To this day, I still believe that my high SAT score played an important part in my acceptance to the top-ranked college from which I eventually graduated.

Today, my SAT skills are sharper than ever. In October 2011, I took an official SAT test and scored a perfect 2400. I consider this level of total test-taking mastery essential for any responsible SAT tutor - it’s a shame that most companies only require their tutors to score above a 2100.

I’m also the author of an original series of SAT prep books that sell hundreds of copies each month to students from around the world.

……….

I always knew that I loved being in school and learning new things, but it wasn’t until I graduated, and got some teaching experience through AmeriCorps, that I realized how much I loved to pass my learning along. That’s when I first started out as an independent SAT tutor in Austin.

I’m passionate about teaching the SAT and I like to connect with all of my students on a personal level. I want them to understand how the SAT fits into their life - how it can get them into a better college, a better career, a better future - because once students are doing the work for themselves, that’s when the real gains happen.

I’ve logged over 1,000 tutoring hours exclusively focused on SAT prep, and have worked with over two hundred students in the past four years. I still enjoy my job just as much as the day I started!

……….

I still teach SAT prep these days, but more and more of my energy goes into running the business, developing the curriculum, and training and assisting our tutors and teachers. Our instructors are all equally qualified - superb talents who are rigorously trained to be fun, respectful, highly-accomplished experts at the SAT.

I would gladly recommend even our newest tutor to my friends and family members. My trust in their abilities, intelligence, and training is absolute.
