Who teaches private SAT tutoring?

Many intelligent adults are smart enough to master the SAT, but of those smart folks, only a select few are also great at relating to teenagers.

Only the most interesting and fun tutor applicants even make it past the hiring interview. Then, after demonstrating their outstanding testing skills, tutors are then gradually seasoned by shadowing experienced instructors, training by example and sharing tips among the team until no SAT question, be it verbal or mathematical, can defeat them.

Our tutors are also selected for patience, empathy, compassion, humor, and tireless energy. We only keep tutors that students and parents rave about and keep coming back to.

If your son or daughter works with one of our private test prep tutors, we promise, our instructors will have an good impact on them that lasts a lifetime and improves their SAT scores right away.

What’s the price of SAT private tutoring?

How long does SAT prep tutoring typically last?

Each private lesson is 90 minutes long.

Most students should plan to study for 2-3 months of weekly lessons.

Unless there is a major holiday in the schedule, the class meets for one 90-minute session per week.

We can usually accommodate twice-weekly private lessons if you want them.

What else comes with private SAT tutoring?

In addition to the hours of 1-on-1 private tutoring with a perfect-scoring tutor, we also include all the best books at our first lesson (even if you never come back).

Our tutoring students also get access to practice tests proctored at our office on Saturday mornings, just like the real SAT. We use authentic SAT tests as practice so students get the full experience.

One practice test is included for every 4 SAT prep tutoring lessons you book, which is the perfect ratio of testing to tutoring.

We also making scheduling practice tests easy, since Saturday mornings are so precious: just contact us to set one up.

Payment:

The MindBody payment system accepts all major credit cards.

We do not currently accept cash or check payments (see below).

Payment is due in advance to reserve your times and materials.

Checking Your SAT Prep Schedule:

Your online MindBody account will allow you to see your upcoming tutoring schedule (as well as past visits).

Use this feature to ensure an on-time, stress-free arrival to every private lesson!

We also recommend adding your 1-on-1 lesson schedule to your everyday paper or electronic calendar, such as Google Calendar, so that you never accidentally miss a lesson.

Rescheduling Private SAT Lessons:

Private SAT lessons can be rescheduled with MORE than 24 hours of notice.

First, log into your account from the SAT tutoring schedule page. Once logged into your online MindBody account, the “Early Cancel” feature lets you cancel (no charge) a private lesson as long as you give more than 24 hours of notice.

That lesson then returns to your account as a credit that can be freely rescheduled to a new lesson time.

When we are especially busy in test prep season, finding a nearby reschedule time for tutoring will probably be difficult, so try to make every lesson as scheduled.

Private SAT Tutoring Attendance Policy:

Please don’t miss any private tutoring sessions! A no-show is still charged as a completed lesson. Check your schedule carefully for conflicts. We are unable to guarantee same-week makeup lessons because of how popular our tutors are.

This is a natural result of using only a few highly-trained tutors and teachers, and being popular among our students and parents we work with.

We require 24 hours of notice to cancel your lesson without charge.

These policies are important for students, tutors, and parents alike. Let’s all do our part to attend lessons as-scheduled for a stress-free experience for all of us!

Booking Additional Lessons:

Scheduling additional lessons is easy. The same methods you originally signed up with will work again, only this time you won’t even need to create a new account. Just log back in and start scheduling lessons.

If you need additional help scheduling private lessons, please don’t be shy about contacting us.

Where can I schedule SAT tutoring again?

In case you missed it, here’s the private SAT prep tutoring calendar for online scheduling.

Why we use MindBody to schedule private tutoring:

Teenagers are busy people, and so are parents! We’ve had plenty of families meet us on all sorts of crazy schedules with different times, days, and vacations. But MindBody makes it much easier for all of us.

Compared to emailing or phoning back and forth, penciling in appointments, think how much easier it is to create an online account that tracks your payments and allows you to self-book from home.

It’s not 100% perfect, but the MindBody system is something we feel very lucky to have. Small local businesses have always struggled with scheduling systems, and we’re grateful to have one that can do as much as this one can.

Although we as a business pay a percentage fee to use this online billing and scheduling service, we think it’s the best way to add value to the SAT prep experience by saving time and offering convenience to you.

Once you’ve learned the system the first time or two, I promise, you will find it easy to use 🙂
